HISTORY

Lucky has been helping bakers and cooks across Australia to achieve amazing results in the kitchen for generations. Lucky simplifies your kitchen adventures from preparing an evening meal to baking a showstopping masterpiece, Lucky is trusted for its quality, taste, and convenience.

The Lucky brand story began when founder Allen Leach started a business as a contract packer of confectionery in 1957 under the name of Lucky Candy.

It was a humble beginning – the company’s first premises was in Canterbury (Melbourne, Victoria) at the back of the family grocery store. Over the years there were several moves into larger premises, which eventually saw Lucky develop a range of cooking nuts that quickly became trusted products in  pantries across Australia.

The Lucky brand was purchased by Prolife Foods Pty Ltd in September 2021. Prolife Foods is based in Altona, Melbourne. Lucky now manufactures and retails a range of nuts and seed products, including almonds, walnuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pine nuts, pistachios, pepitas and sunflower kernels.

In 2023, Lucky launched their first range of dried fruit. You can now pair their delicious baking and cooking nuts with their great range of quality dried fruits whilst enjoying all the benefits of concentrated fruit.

Lucky Almonds are from orchards grown under the Australian sun. Where nuts are not grown in Australia, great care is taken to source all the other nuts, seeds, and dried fruit from respected growers around the globe, to ensure the consistent premium quality you know and love from Lucky.
